On Wednesday I spoke to a community of operators and service providers in Midland about how to read today’s crazy oil market.
The group came together at JP Warren’s The Gathering, the first flagship event from Crue Club.
I love talking about the market publicly.
It’s even more fun when you have a group of folks with a ton at stake, and a strong bias to action.
That’s very much the group that showed up to The Gathering.
The folks in the room covered nearly every square inch of the broader oil & gas sector.
The perspectives were varied. The discussion was granular. The connections were real.
I closed out the day by talking about the market turbulence we’re all navigating right now.
Much of what’s happening is noise.
But there’s an important foundation of signal that can inform the key business decisions we make almost every single day.
And as I highlighted in my talk, a large fraction of this signal existed before any missiles were launched in the Middle East.
I learned so much through the day, hearing firsthand from the teams that are pushing back technical and operational frontiers across our industry.
It was an honor to contribute some market insight at the end.
