GE Vernova Q1 Electrification Orders Outpace Entire 2025 Data Center Total

GE Vernova’s Electrification segment just booked more data center orders in one quarter than in all of 2025.

From the company’s Q1 press release:

“In the quarter, our Electrification segment booked $2.4 billion in equipment orders to support data centers, more than all of last year.”

We’re now at the point where major equipment manufacturers are seeing over a year’s worth of historical activity in a single quarter.

The Power segment told a similar story on the earnings slide below:

“Orders robust, increasing 59%, primarily driven by higher gas turbine pricing and HA volume, as well as large orders for upgrades at Nuclear Power”

(HA is the company’s most advanced natural gas turbine technology.)

These are the kinds of reports that show how all the AI and data center publicity translates into real financial outcomes. That’s what drives home the scale of what’s unfolding.

I’ll have a longer-form review of GE Vernova’s Q1 earnings on Foundations of Energy (𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺.𝘤𝘰𝘮) soon.
