I’m relaunching my podcast…with a twist.
📣 It’s called Behind The Data. And it’s an unscripted look behind the curtain at the energy content I post online.
My prior podcast was called Energy Research Brief. I built it more as an audio summary of my energy research.
As I published new episodes, I heard from more listeners that the best parts were where I talked more about why I wrote what I wrote on LinkedIn. Or what I learned putting it together. Or what surprised me compared to what I expected before I wrote it.
I put the old podcast away many months ago, as the friction of creating it overcame the benefit I thought it was giving to listeners.
It turns out it’s a lot more fun (and a lot more useful) to talk about the “why” and “how” behind what I write rather than just reading it back.
In this first episode, I go behind some of my recent posts.
🛢️ I talk about why energy executives are uneasy despite $100 oil, what’s driving the Brent-WTI spread surge, a connection between Alaska LNG and the Iran conflict, and reflections from my guest lecture at Texas A&M.
Each episode will be between 15 and 20 minutes. And I plan to publish them weekly.
If you subscribed to Energy Research Brief, then you’ll automatically get Behind The Data. It’s the same feed, but with a new name, new cover art, and a new approach.
If you weren’t around for my first foray into podcasting, then I encourage you to check this one out.
If you like what I share on LinkedIn and want a little more context, it’s definitely for you.
👉 You can find it on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you normally get your podcasts.
